How to find and download Notion invoices
In Notion, go to Settings → Billing and, under Invoices, select “View invoice” to open the PDF. Only workspace owners can see billing, and Notion doesn’t email invoices, so someone has to download them.

Short answer
- Settings in the sidebar → “Billing” → under “Invoices”, select “View invoice”.
- Only workspace owners can view and manage plans and billing.
- Notion doesn’t send invoices by email at this time.
- Subscribed in the iPhone or iPad app? Apple bills you, so the receipt is in your Apple purchase history.
Before you start
- The workspace owner role in the paid workspace
- Notion on the web or the desktop app
Download a Notion invoice
- 1
Switch to the paid workspace
Notion bills each workspace separately. If you have more than one, switch to the workspace whose invoice you need before opening settings.
- 2
Open Settings → Billing
Select “Settings” in the sidebar, then “Billing” in the settings window. The top shows your plan, its yearly or monthly cost and the renewal date.
In newer settings layouts, “Billing” sits under the “Access & billing” group.
- 3
Select “View invoice”
Scroll to “Invoices” and select “View invoice” next to the one you need. It opens as a PDF that you can save or print.

Repeat for each month
Because Notion doesn’t email invoices, download each one you need for your records. Plan charges and Notion credit purchases are billed as separate invoices, so check both if you use credits.
Get your tax ID and address on invoices
- 1
Enter your tax registration number
Business customers can enter their tax registration number (called a VAT number, GST number or TIN, depending on the country) in Settings → Billing. Notion uses it to tell business customers from consumers, which can change how tax is charged on later invoices.

Keep the billing address current
Notion uses your address to decide which tax and rate apply. Update it in Settings → Billing by editing your payment details.
- 3
Ask Notion to update invoice details
If the billing address or VAT number shown on your invoices needs to change, message Notion in the app (the Notion AI face at the bottom right of the desktop app, or in the sidebar on mobile) or email team@makenotion.com. Notion says it can update this for you.
Notion’s help doesn’t describe a separate company name field. Ask support if you need a business name on the invoice.
Who can see Notion billing
Only workspace owners can view and manage plans and billing. Members and guests don’t see the Billing page, so if your bookkeeper needs invoices, an owner has to download and share them.
Refund requests must come from the workspace owner’s email or the billing email on file.
Why the invoice amount changed
- Members added during a billing interval are charged pro rata for the rest of it. Removals take effect at the next cycle, with no proration.
- Member changes are reviewed and invoiced monthly, even on yearly billing, so an annual plan can produce extra monthly invoices.
- Switching from monthly to yearly, or upgrading mid-interval, starts a new billing period and credits the unused part of the old one.
- Each paid workspace has its own invoice, so two paid workspaces mean two sets of invoices.
Notion AI and Notion credits
Notion AI is included in the Business and Enterprise plans. Free and Plus get a limited number of complimentary AI responses for trying it.
AI usage beyond the included allowance, Custom Agents and premium models run on Notion credits, an add-on for Business and Enterprise. Your plan and your credit purchases are billed separately, so credits arrive on their own invoice. Owners and admins buy credits in Settings → “Access & billing” → “Notion credits”. Notion’s help lists monthly credits at $10 per 1,000 and annual credits at $13 per 1,000, paid upfront (October 2026).
If a credit invoice goes unpaid, you keep the credits already paid for; the rest are on hold until payment goes through. Your access to the rest of Notion isn’t affected.
Bought Notion through the App Store?
Subscriptions bought in Notion’s iOS app are billed and managed by Apple, not Notion. Apple handles cancellations and refunds, and your receipt is in your Apple purchase history at reportaproblem.apple.com. Our Apple receipts guide (/guides/apple-receipts) walks through it.
With an App Store subscription you can’t buy Notion credits inside Notion. You would first need to cancel it and upgrade on notion.com.
Payment methods, unpaid invoices and refunds
- On the web you can pay by debit or credit card or Apple Pay; Notion processes payments through Stripe. Change the card in Settings → Billing → “Edit method”, then “Update”.
- Unpaid plan invoices can limit access to the workspace until they are paid.
- If you upgraded by mistake, refunds are generally available within three days of the invoice date for monthly billing and within 30 days for annual billing. Ask through in-app support.
Paidwhere
Notion invoices only reach your books if you save them
Since Notion doesn’t email invoices, a monthly download is the only way they reach your records. The free Invoice to CSV converter turns saved PDF invoices into one spreadsheet in your browser, without uploading them.
Paidwhere, a desktop app coming soon, will notice each invoice you save to Downloads (a paid-plan feature) and file it by month with the date, vendor and amount in its name.
Questions
- Why didn’t I get my Notion invoice by email?
- Notion doesn’t send invoices by email at this time. A workspace owner can open them anytime in Settings → Billing → “View invoice”.
- I’m not the workspace owner. How do I get the invoice?
- Ask a workspace owner. Only owners can view plans and billing, so they need to download the invoice and share it with you.
- How do I add my VAT number or company address to Notion invoices?
- Enter your tax registration number in Settings → Billing and keep your billing address up to date there. To change the address or VAT number shown on invoices, message Notion support in the app or email team@makenotion.com.
- Where is the invoice for Notion credits?
- Notion bills plan charges and credit purchases as separate invoices. Look for the credit invoice alongside your plan invoices in Settings → Billing.
- I subscribed on my iPhone. Where is my receipt?
- Apple billed that subscription, so the receipt is in your Apple purchase history at reportaproblem.apple.com, not in Notion. Refunds for it also go through Apple.
