Invoice PDFs to CSV, free and private

Drop one invoice PDF or a whole month of them. You get one row per invoice and a CSV that opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. The PDFs are read inside this browser tab and never uploaded.

Your files stay on your computer

The converter opens each PDF with pdf.js in this tab and reads it with the same rules the Paidwhere desktop app uses. No file is sent to a server and nothing is stored. You can confirm it in your browser’s network panel: no request carries your file.

What it reads

  • Vendor, invoice or receipt number, date, currency, subtotal, tax and total.
  • Invoices in English, Korean and Japanese, including the subtotal, tax and total labels Stripe, Paddle and app stores print in Korean and Japanese.
  • Refunds and credit notes, as negative amounts.
  • A PDF with several invoices on separate pages, as separate rows.

What it can’t read

  • Scans and phone photos: they have no text to read. The Paidwhere app reads them with on-device text recognition.
  • Password-protected PDFs: remove the password first.
  • Unusual layouts: rows with a missing value are marked Check, so you know which PDFs to look at.

Questions

Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no limit on files and no watermark. It runs on your computer, so it costs us nothing per file.
Will Excel show Korean and Japanese text correctly?
Yes. The CSV is saved as UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, which Excel uses to open non-English text correctly.
How accurate is it?
It is reliable on clean digital invoices like the ones AWS, Google, Stripe-billed apps and Apple send. Always check the values against the PDF before you use them; anything it could not find is left blank and marked Check.
How is this different from the Paidwhere app?
The converter turns PDFs into a CSV once. The app, coming soon for Mac and Windows, also reads scans and photos, picks up new invoices from a folder or Downloads by itself, files them into year/month folders, removes duplicates, converts currencies and keeps a ledger you can ask questions.

Want this to happen by itself?

Paidwhere for Mac and Windows watches your Downloads, renames each invoice to date_vendor_amount and files it into year/month folders with a ledger. On your computer, coming soon.
