Paidwhere vs. uploading invoices to a general AI chat
A general AI assistant can read a few invoices you upload to a conversation. Paidwhere is built for the pile that keeps coming: hundreds of files, the same columns every time, and a ledger that stays on your computer.
Where a chatbot works
- A one-off question about a few files
- Summarizing a single contract or invoice
Where Paidwhere is different
- Files every new invoice without being asked, from a folder or Downloads
- The same fields and format every time, ready for Excel, QuickBooks or Xero
- Every value tied to the line on the page, and a short list for the uncertain ones
- Duplicates removed and currencies converted on the invoice date
- A ledger that keeps growing; answers come from your data, not from a chat history
Your data
With a chatbot, the files go to its servers. Paidwhere reads on your computer and keeps the files and ledger in a folder you choose. Pages its built-in reader can’t handle can be read by an AI reader: only that page’s text is sent, it isn’t stored by Paidwhere, and it isn’t used to train models.
Invoices that file themselves
Paidwhere for Mac and Windows reads invoices on your computer and files them into year/month folders with a ledger. Coming soon.
