Refund policy

Effective: October 18, 2026

This document is a starting template and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before Paidwhere launches.

1. 14 days, full refund

If Paidwhere isn’t right for you, ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for a Personal, Pro or Business subscription, monthly or yearly, or for a Tax season pass. You don’t need to give a reason.

2. How to ask

On your account page, choose “Request a refund”: one click within 14 days of your first payment. You can also email help@paidwhere.com from the address you used at checkout, or include your order number from the Paddle receipt; we usually reply within two business days.

3. Who refunds you

Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record, processed your payment and returns the money to the original payment method, including any sales tax or VAT charged. How long it takes to show up depends on your bank or card issuer.

4. Automatic renewal, cancellation and refunds

  • Personal, Pro and Business subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly billing period, until you cancel. The renewal price is the price you subscribed at, unless we emailed you about a change at least 30 days before.
  • Cancel anytime from your account page (paidwhere.com/account) or in the app under Settings › Plan, or email help@paidwhere.com. Cancelling takes no more steps than subscribing.
  • A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your plan stays active until then, you are not charged again, and you can undo the cancellation from your account page until the period ends.
  • Your files and ledger stay on your computer. After the plan ends, paid features (exports, Downloads watching, accountant packs) lock and the app continues on the Free plan.
  • Refunds: within 14 days of your first payment for a subscription or a pass, request a refund from your account page in one click, or email help@paidwhere.com. Paddle processes the refund.
  • Plan changes: change plans anytime from your account page. Upgrades take effect right away and are prorated; downgrades take effect at your next renewal. You can also switch between monthly and yearly billing.
  • Your account page shows your next renewal date, or the date your plan ends if you cancelled.
  • The Tax season pass is a one-time payment and does not renew.

5. After the first 14 days

Cancelling stops the next renewal; the time you already paid for is not refunded, except where the law requires it or where we remove a feature that is a material part of your plan (see the Terms of Service).

6. Your rights

This policy does not limit any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country.
