How to download Canva invoices and receipts

Download a Canva invoice on the web or desktop app

   Check the account and team

   Select your profile icon on the homepage. Your current team has a checkmark next to it. If the purchase was made in another team, switch to it first.

   Canva is rolling out navigation changes gradually. If you can’t find your profile photo on the homepage, look under More.

   Open Settings → Orders and invoices

   From the profile menu, select Settings, then go to the Orders and invoices tab. Your plan payments and print orders are listed together.

   Find the purchase

   Search for an invoice ID, or filter the list by date or by type (for example, only print orders).

   Download the PDF

   Select More next to the purchase, then choose Download invoice. The file is named after your language setting, such as invoice-1234.pdf in English.

Download an invoice in the Canva mobile app

   Open Settings from the More tab

   From the home screen, go to the More tab and select Settings, then Orders and invoices.

   Download the invoice

   Find the purchase, select More, then View or Download invoice. For a print order, tap the order first. The invoice downloads to your device as a PDF.

   This list only shows purchases made on the Canva website. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google.

Put your company details and tax ID on invoices

On a team, only owners and administrators can change billing details.

   Open Settings → Billing

   From the homepage, select your account profile, then Settings, then Billing.

   Update the invoice information

   In the Billing details section, select Add or Update. Under Invoice information, enter your details, search for or type your billing address, and select Save changes.

   Add a tax ID

   In the same Billing details form, under Tax ID, select Add tax ID, enter the number and any required fields, and click Save. Your VAT, GST or other tax ID then appears on invoices.

   A tax ID on the invoice doesn’t make your account tax-exempt, and applicable tax may still be charged.

   Change the name and email

   The name and email address on invoices come from Your profile in Settings.

Who sees which invoices on a team

Team owners and billing contacts also get an email for every team purchase. Owners and admins can limit who may use the team’s stored payment method under SettingsBillingPurchasing permission.

Canva Business and Teams billing

• Canva Business can be paid monthly or yearly. Canva Teams is closed to new sign-ups; existing Teams subscribers keep their plan.
• On yearly billing, you pay for the year but get a bill every three months. Seats or team members added since the last bill are charged on the next one for the remaining plan duration.
• Seats or members added within three days before the billing date are charged on the following bill.
• Canva sends an email or in-app reminder to review your team three days before your next bill.

When a date or address on your invoice looks wrong

• Canva’s billing details article says changes apply to invoices generated after you save, and existing invoices aren’t changed. Its invoice article says changes apply to past and future invoices. Download the invoice again after saving to see which copy you get.
• Invoices show your country and postal code but not your full address until you update it in Billing.
• If you are a tax-exempt organization in the US or Canada, contact Canva support with your exemption certificate, exemption type and invoice number. That is a separate process from adding a tax ID.

Matching Canva charges on your card statement

Canva charges appear on bank statements as CANVA* followed by the invoice number, for example CANVA*01234-1234567. Canva invoice numbers are five digits starting with 0, a hyphen, and seven to nine more digits.

For PayPal payments, the seller is Canva Pty Limited, or Canva UK Operations Limited in the UK. A Request for Payment invoice usually means your payment failed or hasn’t finished processing. A $0.00 order is a free replacement for a reprinted print order.

Questions

I’m a team member. Why can’t I see the team’s invoices?

Team members can only view and download invoices for purchases they made themselves. Ask an admin, Brand Owner or the team owner to download the invoice for you.

I can’t find an invoice in Orders and invoices.

Check that you are logged into the account that got the purchase email and that the right team has the checkmark in your profile menu. If you subscribed in the Canva mobile app, look for the confirmation from Apple or Google instead.

Where is my invoice for a subscription bought in the iPhone app?

App Store purchases are billed by Apple, so the receipt is in your Apple purchase history. If Canva support asks for a reference, you can create an Apple receipt ID in the Canva app under SettingsMenuSubscriptionGenerate Receipt ID.

Does adding a VAT number remove VAT from my Canva invoice?

Not by itself. A tax ID only puts the number on your invoices. Canva may remove tax for VAT- or GST-registered businesses where local rules allow it. How to record the tax is a question for your accountant.
