How to get a Coupang receipt: card slip, cash receipt or transaction statement

Print the receipt for one order

Paid by card? You get a 카드영수증 (card slip, also called 신용카드 매출전표). Paid by bank transfer (계좌이체), Coupay Money (쿠페이 머니), virtual-account deposit (무통장입금) or cash-type Coupang Cash? You get a 현금영수증 (cash receipt).

   Open your order list

   Sign in to Coupang in a desktop browser, open 마이쿠팡 (My Coupang) and choose “주문목록/배송조회” (order list / delivery tracking) under MY쇼핑. Find the order you need.

   Open the order details

   Click “주문 상세보기” (view order details) on that order. Near the bottom of the page is a box called “결제영수증 정보” (payment receipt information).

   Open the card slip or cash receipt

   Click “카드영수증” (card receipt) for a card payment or “현금영수증” (cash receipt) for a cash-type payment to open the receipt.

   Paid through your phone bill? Click “결제영수증 조회/발급” (look up or issue payment receipt) to reach the payment processor’s page. For phone payments, your mobile carrier issues the receipt after you pay the next month’s phone bill.

   Print it or save a PDF

   Click “프린트하기” or “출력” (both mean print). To keep a file, pick “Save as PDF” instead of a printer in the print dialog.

   The name of the PDF option differs slightly between browsers.

Print a month or a year of receipts

Instead of opening orders one by one, use the receipt menu. It exists only on the computer version of the site.

   Open the receipt menu

   Go to 마이쿠팡 → MY쇼핑 → “영수증 조회/출력” (receipt lookup / print).

   Pick card slips or cash receipts

   Choose the “신용카드 매출전표” (card sales slips) or “현금영수증” (cash receipts) tab, then “신용카드 매출전표 신청내역” or “현금영수증 신청내역” (the list of issued slips or receipts).

   Card and cash payments sit on separate tabs. If you used both, go through both.

   Print or save

   Click “영수증 출력” (print receipts), then “프린트하기” (print). Choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog to get a file.

Print a 거래명세서 with company details

A 거래명세서 (transaction statement) lists what you bought, and Coupang lets you type the buyer’s business details into it. It works only on a computer, not in the app or on the mobile site.

   Open the order details

   Go to 마이쿠팡 → “주문목록/배송조회” and click “주문 상세보기” on the order.

   In the “결제영수증 정보” box at the bottom, click “거래명세서”.

   Fill in the buyer section

   In the “공급받는자” (buyer) section, type the business registration number (사업자등록번호), company name (상호명), name (성명), business address (사업장주소), business type (업태) and line of business (종목).

   These fields follow the Korean business registration format. If the document is for an employer outside Korea, ask them which details they want on it.

   Print it

   Click “출력” (print) at the top right. Choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog to keep a file.

Korean receipt types in plain English

Under Korea’s VAT Act, a 세금계산서 shows both parties’ registration numbers, the supply value and the VAT amount. Coupang says that because card slips and cash receipts are issued, it does not issue a separate 세금계산서, citing Article 33 of the VAT Act.

Coupang Cash from a gift card (cash-type) gets a cash receipt; Coupang Cash from events, cashback or partner points (points-type) does not.

Using a Coupang receipt for an employer or for taxes

For a work purchase, keep the card slip or cash receipt, and add a 거래명세서 if your employer wants an itemized document with the company name. For items from independent marketplace sellers (마켓플레이스), Coupang is only the intermediary and its help center does not say whether those sellers issue a 세금계산서, so ask the seller before ordering if you need one.

Which documents count as proof depends on your employer and your tax situation. Ask your finance team, or a Korean tax accountant (세무사) for Korean taxes.

Foreign cards and buying from abroad

• Cards issued outside Korea work only if they are VISA, Mastercard or JCB and in your own name, matching your Coupang account details.
• Coupang delivers only to addresses in Korea.
• Cross-border items such as 로켓직구 get no cash receipt, because the seller is a business abroad that follows its own country’s law.
• Coupang does not accept virtual-account deposits (무통장입금) from bank accounts abroad.

If no number was registered for your cash receipt

If you paid by a cash-type method without giving a phone number or business number, Coupang issues the cash receipt to 010-000-1234, a National Tax Service code. From the day after payment, you can move it to your name on Hometax (홈택스), the NTS website.

• On Hometax, go to 조회/발급 (look up / issue) → 현금영수증 수정 (change cash receipt) → 자진발급분 소비자등록 (register a self-issued receipt). This is the path Coupang gives; Hometax menus change from time to time.
• Enter the approval number (승인번호), date and amount, click 조회 (search), then 등록 (register). For bank transfer or Coupay Money, the approval number is on the cash receipt in the order details; for a deposit, it is in the cash receipt email.
• Next time, save a number in advance under 마이쿠팡 → “결제수단·쿠페이” (payment methods) → “현금영수증 설정” (cash receipt settings), or fill in the “현금영수증” box at checkout.

WOW membership, Coupang Eats and refunds

• WOW membership (와우 멤버십): the fee’s cash receipt is only on the computer site under 마이쿠팡 → MY쇼핑 → “영수증 조회/출력”, and on Hometax.
• Coupang Eats: receipts are in the Coupang Eats app under 주문내역 (order history) → 영수증 (receipt).
• Canceled or returned orders: 마이쿠팡 → “취소/반품/교환/환불내역” (cancellations and refunds) → “취소 상세 보기” (details) → “취소 영수증 확인” (cancellation receipt). Keep it with the original receipt.
• Deleted an order from your list? Coupang also emails the order details on the order date.

Questions

Can I print a Coupang receipt from the app?

No. The app and mobile site show one order’s receipt at a time. Printing, the period list and the 거래명세서 work only on the computer website: 마이쿠팡 → “주문목록/배송조회” → “주문 상세보기”.

Does Coupang issue a 세금계산서 (tax invoice)?

No. Coupang says that because card slips and cash receipts are issued, it does not issue a separate 세금계산서, citing Article 33 of Korea’s VAT Act. For a document with your company’s details, print a 거래명세서 from the order details on a computer.

How do I get all my Coupang receipts for a year?

On a computer, go to 마이쿠팡 → “영수증 조회/출력”. Check both the card slip and cash receipt tabs, then click “영수증 출력” → “프린트하기” and save as PDF.

Why can’t I see a receipt for my order yet?

Receipts appear 24 hours after payment. Cross-border (직구) items get no cash receipt, and phone-bill payments get theirs from your mobile carrier after you pay that bill.

I didn’t give a phone number for the cash receipt. Is it lost?

No. Coupang issues it to the National Tax Service code 010-000-1234, and from the day after payment you can register it to yourself on Hometax with the approval number, date and amount.
